why Shakespeare wrote Macbeth

Shakespeare wrote Macbeth in 1606 three years after King James I was crowned. Before this James I was James VI of Scotland, this represented a union between England and Scotland which inspired William Shakespeare to write the play Macbeth. King James I was also quite interested in witchcraft so its possible that Shakespeare was trying to get himself into James’ good books by introducing the three witches, also, like many of shakespeare’s other plays, Macbeth was based on facts, facts that were well known to king James, King Duncan I was killed by Macbeth who then reigned for 17 years 1040-1057, then Macbeth was murdered by Malcolm III. This was quite common in the time of the 11th century, 10 kings were killed out of 14 that reigned at this time. That is why Shakespeare wrote the play Macbeth.
